is a Dutch textile and multimedia artist. Marjet makes collages, bags, artist books, wall hangings and necklaces a.e. of fabric and paper. Found objects and recycled materials inspire her. She prints her own cloth and paper with earth pigments or natural dyes. Every scrap is used in her work. Torn edges and lose threads are giving Marjets work texture and a personal touch.
For 25 years Marjet lived, with partner and three dogs, in a rural mountain village in Andalusia and was inspired by the earthy tones of rough mountains. Recently the family moved to the south of France, where the facades in a beautiful old town by the Mediterranean Sea influences her recent work.
