In Earrings
I make both the gold-coloured balls and the long black drops from papier-mâché, shaping each piece by hand around an internal wire structure. I paint them with acrylic colours and finish them with varnish before assembling the earrings.
Black and pale pink beads connect the sculpted elements to the gold-tone tops. The posts and butterfly backs are stainless steel.
The irregular shapes and textured surfaces vary slightly from pair to pair because each papier-mâché element is formed and painted by hand.

• Total length: 9 cm / 3.54 inches.
• Upper bead section: 2.5 cm / 0.98 inches.
• Gold papier-mâché ball: 1.5 cm / 0.59 inches.
• Black papier-mâché drop: 5 cm / 1.97 inches.
