How do I register for packaging EPR in my country?
Pick a country and find its national packaging register, who runs it, and whether you register yourself or join a scheme. Covers all 27 EU member states.
Checked against the national sources on 2026-08-04.
How do I register for packaging EPR in my country?
Registration is handled by each country’s own authority or approved scheme, never by a marketplace. In Germany you register yourself in LUCID for free and then contract a recycling scheme separately. In France you cannot self-register: you join an approved eco-organisme such as Citeo, and they register you and issue your IDU.
Which EU countries have no packaging producer register?
Checked on 4 August 2026: Italy, Latvia, Ireland and the Netherlands have no packaging producer register a seller can be listed in. In those countries joining an approved scheme is the whole obligation and there is no state registration number to quote.
Is there one EU-wide packaging register?
No. Each member state runs its own register and issues its own number. PPWR harmonises the data fields that registers collect from 12 August 2026, but it does not merge them into a single register or a single number.
